How long do treatments take?
Treatments for your average adult take approximately 45-60min.
Children tend to be 30-45min.
Dogs & Cats 30-45min.
Horses 45-60min.
Horse & Rider 60-90min.
How many treatments will I need?
As a general rule for most people, 1-5 treatments are considered the average to address a specific area of concern.
If you've had a concussion or a head injury you're looking at 3-6 treatments to bring the body back into a state of equilibrium.
Once a solid foundation is laid for the body to work from, we can pursue maintenance treatments on an as needed basis.
Will I need ongoing treatments?
My purpose is to bring your body back into a state of harmony. Based on what your condition is and how quickly you respond to the work will determine the best course of action.
My approach is to help create a supportive foundation for your body to function from, and from there step back and support you as it is required. Most clients have a set number of treatments ranging from 2-6 before moving onto an as needed treatment basis.
What should I wear?
Please wear comfortable clothing that you won't mind moving around in if its required.
If you're self-conscious about the length of your skirt, unable to lie down comfortably due to pants that are too tight, or want to make a fashion statement please reconsider what you plan on wearing before arriving.
Comfort is king.
Do I need to bring anything?
If you'd had an accident that involved a helmet, bicycle, or object of any form it can be beneficial to bring these along. This allows me to work the body "in state" with the object that caused it harm or was associated with the injury.
Otherwise just bring yourself.
Is this treatment painful?
ConTact C.A.R.E. works away from pain. The areas I support are often described as being "dull" or "painless. However, they are in fact the cause of the discomfort you can feel. The silent dictators that control the function of your body at a skeletal level.
Once the pressure is dropped from these "silent places" feeling returns. Occasionally one can experience discomfort as things move back into place - in these situations I will guide you through how to unravel your body from the "mess" it is tangled in.
Does ConTact C.A.R.E. involve manipulation?
ConTact C.A.R.E. relies on the body to look after itself. For this reason I do not force or manipulate the body in any way. I will help position you if required, ask you to make specific handholds, and change your stance as necessary.
If at any point one feels uncomfortable, simply speak up and we'll change the situation.
The nature of ConTact C.A.R.E. is support - not force.
I have suffered a concussion / head injury, can this help?
The majority of the clients I work with fall into this category. ConTact C.A.R.E. works by locating and releasing the pressure trapped at a skeletal level. These trapped states keep the pressure on your brain and prevent the body from healing correctly.
Typically your first session will involve getting your body to drain and regulate internal pressure correctly. With following treatments working deeper to the cause of your discomfort or concern.
If you'd like to discuss your situation, please don't hesitate to contact me.
How does this work for amputees?
Just because you're missing a limb doesn't mean it isn't there. Working with the bio energetic field and phantom feeling, your missing limb is just as much a part of the treatment as the rest of you.
For those that experience residual pain, poor co-ordination, anxiety, or depression - you're welcome to get in touch and find out more about how ConTact C.A.R.E. could help.
I feel anxious all the time, can ConTact C.A.R.E. help?
Anxiety is often linked to an incorrect reading of our environment at a sensory level. You feel anxious, because something in your defence system is feeding you a threat warning - even when this shouldn't be the case. Many of my clients have reported significant improvement to their levels of anxiety over the course of their treatments.

How do you find the source of discomfort?
Simply put I am looking for any area where the body goes rigid when touched. If I "bounce" an area the body should move with it. But when it pushes back I know I've found a Flinchlock.
Questions are also asked to help narrow down the search, for example, when back pain is relieved by lying down but returns when you stand - its likely to be caused by a bone in the foot or leg that activates the pain when it is weight bearing.
Can an injury affect my relationships with others?
Based on my experience, absolutely.
Flinchlocked or impacted bones dictate what a person feels they can or can't do. Which is why personality or confidence levels shift after one has taken an injury.
Flinchlocked bones over react to touch - regardless of how irrational they may seem, its a defensive reaction. For example:
Someone impacts their little finger that shares the meridian cable with the heart. However, when it is touched it triggers a "don't touch my hand" reaction along with an involuntary pull away. This in turn creates feelings of rejection or pain in the partner and the cycle continues.
How do impacted bones affect me?
In more ways than you'd think. From a ConTact C.A.R.E. perspective injury situation information is stored in the skeletal defense system (bone). This interprets how colour, sound, smells, sights, and touch relate to our survival and are a reference point for future use about what has the potential to hurt us.
When triggered they can cause irrational behavior or actions to occur - this is the natural startle response of the bone observing a threat.
You are not an emotional mess - you are an injured one.
What are cranial bio-mechanics?
Cranial bio-mechanics are the natural pressure balance arrangement between the head and your body. They are the unconscious structure with which we co-ordinate and support our movements.
For example a blow to the ribs, will cause the cheek to cringe.
A knock to the jaw, will cause the knees to stiffen.
A bang on the tailbone, will load the back of the skull.
What should I expect after a treatment?
This varies from person to person. Most individuals leave feeling "lighter" and their areas of concern silently fade away over the next few days. However, its not uncommon to experience tingling or stretching sensations in different areas of the body for first few days after a treatment.
Occasionally, one can experience a temporary increase in discomfort which lasts for a short period as the body works its way free of the injury. This is typically the case with those I consider to be "highly pressurized units". As with anything under pressure, once you give it a way out, it will take whatever opening it can find.
If there are ever any concerns about the sensations you're experiencing post treatment - don't hesitate to get in contact.
